COVID-19

To Our Valued Clients,

We are pleased to announce that we are resuming our normal business hours effective Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Our updated hours are as follows:

Tuesday – Friday: 6:00pm – 8:00am

Saturday – Monday: Open 24 hours

We appreciate your understanding as we made the difficult decision to reduce our overnight business hours in September. We have used this time to grow, train and develop our team to ensure your patients receive excellent and compassionate care.

Over the past 18 months, the entire veterinary community has experienced dramatic changes in the daily challenges we face as doctors, nurses, valued support staff and business owners. This is a problem that is not exclusive to Oklahoma but is being seen all across the country.

In response to these challenges, we are making the difficult but necessary decision to reduce our overnight business hours.

Starting today, Tuesday, September 14th, the Veterinary Emergency Referral Center in Norman will transition to providing URGENT CARE services on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Our hours will adjust accordingly. We will continue to open our doors to receive cases starting at 6:00 PM and will stay open until 12:00 AM.

Saturday – Monday: Open 24 hours
Tuesday – Thursday: 6:00pm – 12:00am
Friday: 6:00pm – 8:00am

We will continue our REGULAR WEEKEND HOURS: opening Friday evening at 6:00 PM and remain open until Tuesday mornings at 8:00 AM.

We cannot stress enough how much we appreciate your trust in us. This decision was not an easy one. We apologize sincerely for any challenges this may create for you.

Our goal is to ensure proper training of new staff, continued excellence in patient care and support for our staff that has stuck it out through these difficult times.

We ask for your patience and understanding so we can do our part to provide exceptional emergency care to our Norman community.

Dear Valued Clients,
Animal Emergency Center of Norman is pleased to be open for our normal business hours, to meet your and your pet’s emergency needs. We continue to exercise safety precautions for the safety and well-being of our clients, our patients, our staff, and our community. Should you come for a visit, be aware that we are not currently allowing clients into our facility. Please call 405-360-7828 when you arrive and we will handle the rest!

It is a difficult time for all right now. We understand you don’t want to be away from your baby for long. We will do our best to minimize the stressful situation.

Wishing you and your family a happy and healthy remainder of Spring 🐶🐾🐈

COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT

To Our Valued Clients:

First and foremost, we would like to assure you that we will remain open until the government says otherwise. In the veterinary industry, we are used to infectious disease protocol – because we deal with it every day.

We have always paid close attention to the cleanliness of our facility, and now we are taking extra precautions to ensure the health & safety of every client and team member that walks through our doors. Frequently touched surfaces are regularly cleaned, and our team members are wearing masks and gloves to further minimize risk of contamination.

As government protocols recommend, we encourage clients over 65 as well as those at risk of infection remain at home and not come into the clinic. We also ask that any clients who have a fever or are showing other signs of sickness REMAIN AT HOME. If you are at risk, or simply prefer to avoid contact but need to bring your pet in, we are happy to come out to your car to pick up your pet.

Please do not postpone essential care (including urgent exams, food or prescription refills, etc.) for your pet out of fear. We are happy to discuss symptoms and questions with you over the phone to determine your pet’s needs and ensure they receive the care they need.
